Circa Travel is a privately-owned travel firm founded in historic Frederick, MD and now operating in Lewes, DE. We specialize in leisure travel to Europe– most especially travel in Italy.
We work with discerning travelers to craft custom itineraries that are about relaxation, discovery, enchantment, and joy. With over 30 years of designing travel, we are well versed in all the components that go into making a trip memorable for you and for your group.

How We Work
Every trip or tour begins with a conversation with Owner and Chief Travel Designer Jackie Lamothe. Once we determine what you are looking for we move into the agreement phase where we set up expectations for you, the guest, and Circa Travel. Once that is agreed upon we collect a professional fee and set the timeline for delivering quotes.
We will keep you well informed as your trip design takes shape. We find that there is generally a big flurry of activity when we begin our work together: while hotels and flights are selected. Things then slow down a bit and we take the time to find the extra activities, auto rentals, in-country trains, planes & transfers, and anything else you desire for your unique trip.
You can rest assured that Circa Travel takes care of all the little details so you, our treasured guest can concentrate on taking care of yourself, your family, or your business with out having to fret over endless travel minutia.

Meet The Circa Travel Founder
Circa Travel founder Jackie Lamothe started falling in love with travel in her teen years. She spent a college semester in Florence and Rome and has been traveling throughout Europe (especially Italy) ever since. In her numerous trips, Jackie has been in the presence of popes and peasants and loves it all. She has been offered a singing contract and a marriage proposal in Italy, and never tires of the fascinating people of this delightful country.
She has a unique way of arranging trips that makes for joyous, relaxing, and unforgettable vacations (please see testimonials). She is continually building solid relationships with travel professionals all over Europe who are equally committed to providing memorable experiences for the guests on Circa Travel vacations and tours.
