Did YOU catch Eclipse Fever this week? I'm sure that you, like I, saw oodles of photos taken of this phenomenon. I saw none that can compare to this dramatic water shot take somewhere in New Hampshire by Timothy Charles. I hope it wins some sort of award - it certainly blew my mind!
Remember the long-ago TV show, The Honeymooners? Probably not unless you are a dinosaur like I. It was a favorite of my parents as well as the Jackie Gleason Show. I feel like this guy never really got his due - he really was a genius of comedic timing: even as a child I saw that. Anyway: he had a saying "how sweet it is" that I borrowed for this love story to one of the three (well, many actually) things that Ama Waterways (my host for a week on the lovely Danube River recently) does supremely well.
The holy trinity of excellence (in my humble opinion) for them is breads, desserts, and soups. This is not to say that all of the other points of perfection aren't noteworthy because they are. Buy me a glass of Prosecco one day and I'll wax poetic on the wonders of sailing with them. The staff is worthy of a whole article.
