Naturally, today's water view is of the magnificent Grand Canal in Venice. I've said it many times before on these pages: when I am coming into the lagoon - either from the airport or Santa Lucia train station (pictured below in all her glory) the view coming around the corner into the Grand Canal totally takes my breath away!

I was having lunch last week at Victoria's on the Boardwalk in Reho and snapped this view of the late summer beachgoers. It was a delightful day to be on the water.

Debi Jo has been grabbing me up to go to see the sunset on the Lewes Pier. I am so grateful to her for her spontaneity.

While Hurrican Erin has not made landfall, those of us on the Delaware Shore are certainly feeling her effects. Whether serene or stormy, I find it all quite beautiful.

Ladies, let's talk about capsule wardrobes.

Above is the view of Lake Albano from the Pope's summer residence, Castel Gandolfo. Loved my visit there in 2019 and will definitely return. The little village is adorable and the pace delightful.

The Atlantic at dawn captured by the fabulous Dave Rhoten! How fortunate am I to be at Rehoboth Beach yesterday morning and Lewes Beach today! I can't explain why it lifts my spirits, but it works every time!

My guess is that several of you dear readers remember the company Weekenders Fashions. Heck: some of you bought those clothes from me "back in the day"! 

As we slide into a holiday weekend or should I say slog into it what with the extreme heat we're experiencing, I am reminded of some of the joys of the 4th of July.

While this is probably not the year to visit Roma, still she calls to me.
